    Growing up Elliot loved to help his mum in the kitchen, regularly helping out with baking cakes and cookie. This soon turned into a passion to become a Chef with the drive to develop and refine his skills to the uppermost conceivable level. At the age of 15 Elliot joined the prestigious Petersham Hotel as a trainee, providing him with a taste of what was to come.     Aldo Zilli is an award-winning celebrity chef and restaurateur who specialises in Italian, vegetarian and seafood cuisine.     James Martin has made a huge impact since he began to appear on British television in November 1996 and has rarely been off the screen since.  After hitting new record viewing figures of 2.1 million hosting the BBC’s Saturday Morning Kitchen, James has recently added two additional shows to his list – fronting Sweet Baby James and The Great British Village Show. In Autumn 2006 James gained a whole new army of fans with his newfound prowess on the dance floor when he appeared in the British version of Strictly Come Dancing, dancing his way straight into the semi finals. In 1994 at the ripe old age of 21, James opened the Hotel and Bistro du Vin at Winchester as Head Chef, where he daringly changed the menu every day. Such was the success of this venture, there followed an eight week waiting list for weekend diners. James’ television career began in November 1996 with Ready Steady Cook and he was also a frequent guest on Saturday Kitchen. James carries out many cookery demonstrations across the UK each year at various events including The Derbyshire County Show and The Malvern and the Yorkshire Food & Drink Show, and was also involved in The 2004 National Fish & Chip Shop of the Year Awards. Last year James also judged the prestigious Nestle Toque D’Or Award. His first book, Eating in with James Martin was published in October 1998.     I chose the Dual Fuel Range with the charbroiler and griddle as it gives me the best of both worlds, with gas hobs for excellent temperature control and a dual convection electric oven. The fact that there are eight cooking modes, which provide four different heat sources within the same oven also greatly attracted me.     When Simon Rimmer opened his first restaurant, Greens, (www.greensdidsbury.co.uk) in 1990, he did so with two cookery books, no idea how to cook, but a passion to create a great destination restaurant….and chat girls up! He wasn’t even supposed to be in the kitchen. His role, or so he hoped, was front of house lothario to the beautiful people of West Didsbury. However, financial reality got him into the kitchen (no money to employ anyone) - a decision that changed his life. Within two years the Guardian described Greens as one of the most exciting restaurants in the UK, even though it was vegetarian. From there, Greens has gone from strength to strength, increasing from 28 to 48 covers in 2005 and, after the purchase of the dress shop next door, it’s now a massive 90 covers…and still packed.

    I have found that to produce the best possible food you also need the freshest ingredients. In all my years of cooking professionally I haven’t come across anything that beats my Sub-Zero Fridge/Freezer unit in terms of size, configuration and technical superiority.  It is an invaluable tool for me because of the superior refrigeration system unique to Sub-Zero.  With other brands there is an exchange of air between the fridge and freezer, meaning humidity levels are low, which can dry out food.  My Sub-Zero model keeps the air in each compartment separate, preserving all food, especially fruit and vegetables, for longer. My Wolf Gas Range (R486G) is one of the most precise instruments in my kitchen.  The six separate burners can go from the lowest flame for simmering and melting to a strong searing heat for the utmost control. The griddle gives me the flexibility to cook directly on the temperature control surface which is great for breakfasts, pancakes and even scallops and delicate white fish. The new showroom with everything on show makes me want to move home so that I can create a new, even better kitchen. Antony is a huge fan of Sub-Zero and Wolf and insists on cooking and cooling with the brands in both his UK and Spanish homes.

In 2005, Miers won the BBC TV cookery competition MasterChef impressing judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace with her bold and, at times, eccentric cooking style. She has made two series of cookery programmes for Channel 4 with further TV series following her TV debut.

    Wolf makes the best kitchen kit.  I truly believe this.  I’ve been making chocolate truffles for years and never has it been easier than on my electric hob.  I am no longer prey to the risk of chocolate burning and can make hundreds every weekend if I want.  Making custard is a total delight rather than the normal, slightly hair-raising experience. My Sub-Zero crisper keeps fruits and vegetables fresh for about a week longer than in my old fridge.  It’s hugely impressive and also incredibly beautiful.  My Sub-Zero freezer allows me to see exactly what I’ve got stored away so that I can always whip something out if I suddenly have people coming over.  The ice-machine is made for throwing parties...we can’t wait to have our first one. The new Wolf showroom is not only dead slinky but provides an informal, cosy place to cook for people using Wolf’s incredibly sexy appliances.  There is no showroom that I would rather cook in.

    Riccardo has drawn inspiration for his cooking from an innate love of travel and rich, family tradition. He is passionate about exploring the world and understanding the different gastronomic traditions of every country he has visited.  After travelling Europe extensively he returned to work at the family restaurant alongside his father Enzo to apply the wealth of knowledge he gained during his travels. After developing his skills in the family business, his thirst for knowledge took him on a further adventure to Tokyo where under the guidance of his mentor Hiroisha Koyama, all other gastronomic adventures were surpassed.

    In February 2009, Riccardo returned to London to lead the kitchen team at Dolada in Mayfair, creating a menu with Italian foundations yet delivered with the talent of a master technician, and a passion steeped in family tradition. For example,  Riccardo’s take on spaghetti carbonara combines pecorino cheese, pancetta, and an egg poached at a low temperature for an hour – a tip picked up in Japan – which, when mixed together by the diner, makes a rich yet cream-free sauce.

    Creative author and food writer, Donna Brown embarked on a partnership with Sub-Zero & Wolf when she started the development of her innovative book Food & Flowers, recently published by Mondadori Electa. Donna’s latest book, Food & Flowers combines the art of cooking and floristry to create a spontaneous mix of fresh, easy decorations and recipes. Inspired by nature and her surroundings, Donna takes everyday ingredients and transforms them into design objects and mouth-watering recipes and invites us to do the same. Showing us the beauty of humble ingredients or flowers, she encourages us to look at things differently, to enjoy life, have fun and, above all, to share this with our friends and family. Donna Brown is Canadian by birth but Italian by adoption. She has applied her skills in several artistic spheres over the years, from music, fashion and interiors to food, garden and event design. She contributes regularly to specialist publications and has written and hosted several television programmes.

    Do you do much cooking, or does Danielle create most of the meals?

    I would say I’m the secondary cook but I enjoy cooking, I find it quite relaxing. I wouldn’t claim to be particularly good but I conjure up the odd thing.

    How much time as a family do you tend to spend in the kitchen?

    Quite a lot, I think we’re lucky to have a big kitchen so as a family I think we spend quite a lot of time here.

    As an ambassador for Sub-Zero & Wolf and one of England’s best-loved footballers, how important is nutrition to you?

    We’ve got a greater understanding of nutrition now. Certainly didn’t when I played football, we’d eat crazy stuff just before a game! Now, I think we’re a little more conscious of eating properly. I’m interested in nutrition and getting the right things inside me.

    Have you noticed that your food lasts longer in your Sub-Zero?

    Absolutely, it’s a great piece of kit, I love that fridge. The glass front means you can see what’s in there and it’s huge – when it’s full even my four have trouble emptying it! Everyone loves it, they say “wow!”

    What’s the favourite part of your kitchen and why?

    My wine storage, because wine is bit of a passion of mine.

    Have your appliances met your expectations?

    They’re amazing, and people that are more expert cooks are always impressed when they see them!

    How do they compare to what you’re used to? Can you feel the difference in terms of quality engineering and manufacturing?

    Not only are they aesthetically lovely, they are beautifully made. They just feel solid and strong; you can tell when things are brilliantly manufactured, and they are.

    When asked about her relationship with food Ulrika says that her love of cooking was established when she moved to England in 1979.  “My stepfather taught me all the foundations and I quickly developed a love for Italian and French food.  Instead of going out at weekends when I was a teenager, I was at home baking and creating a new recipe every weekend.” She says there’s nothing quite as depressing as an empty fridge!

    Aged 17 Ulrika spent a month in France on a cookery course and in her late 20s visited Italy to do the same.  In 1999 she took part in the first ever Celebrity MasterChef alongside Rick Wakeman and Jenny Agutter with judges Raymond Blanc and a rookie Jamie Oliver.

    The family built a new house, and the most important room in the house is the kitchen. For Ulrika and her family, the one area of no compromise was the kitchen appliances.

    With his wife, Gerardine, Wayne built Red or Dead into a label that received global acclaim resulting in winning the prestigious British Fashion Council’s Streetstyle Designer of the Year Award for an unprecedented 3 consecutive years in 1996, 1997 and 1998.

    After 21 consecutive seasons on the catwalk at London Fashion Week, Wayne and Gerardine sold Red or Dead in a multi million cash sale.

    In 1999, having sold Red or Dead they set up HemingwayDesign, which specializes in affordable and social design. The highest profile project is, The Staiths South Bank, a 800 property mass market housing project on Tyneside for Taylor Wimpey Homes where HemingwayDesign are involved from the master planning, the architecture through to the landscaping and marketing of this groundbreaking project .

    Wayne and Gerardine choose Sub-Zero & Wolf appliances for their own home kitchen.

    Wayne on Sub-Zero:
